An investigation of control strategies for batch and continuous distillation columns using a digital computer
The work undertaken has been principally concerned with the practical application of a number of control ideas to a pilot scale distillation unit. The ideas under investigation covered two main areas, namely the control of individual loops, and the choice of overall operation strategy.
