Description
Summary:The purpose of this study is to examine three teachers' use of digital tools in their social science teaching. The study was carried out in grade five in a school where each pupil had access to his or her own digital tool in the spring of 2108. The teachers were observed and interviewed by the author. The analysis is based on a custom analysis model based on the SAMR-model. What the study has come up with is that teachers use digital tools more than students in teaching. Furthermore, the study also show that the use is largely not about replacing analogue tools but to improve and develop teaching, and that digital tools are used to individualize the teaching to specific pupils. The teachers state that the positive aspect of digital tools is that it is direct and gives them benefits in both planning and implementation. Disadvantages are that the pupils are easily distracted during the use of digital tools and that the teachers are dependent on the technology working.
