The study combines three different methods, firstly I have conducted a survey in two middle school classes and secondly, I interviewed four middle school children.Thirdly, I played the games myself in order to analyze the language learning potential of the games. The results showed that each game has some potential and can offer some positive results for second language learning. However, none of the games showed potential in all four language development categories. The study also showed that the children are aware of their language use when they play games.
