The analysis focuses on the translation of fixed expressions (idioms and metaphors) and culture-specific phenomena (proper nouns and terminology). The theoretical model of Vinay and Darbelnetand the translation strategies by Rune Ingo are used as the basis of the analysis. The analysis of fixed expressions shows that the majority are translated with fixed expressions in the target language, according to Ingo's translation strategies. Some of the fixed expressions in the source text are replaced by regular expressions. A few regular expressions in the source text are replaced by Swedish fixed expressions; two English fixed expressions are translated word for word. The second part of the analysis deals with the translation of culture-specific phenomena, i.e. proper nouns and terminology. The result shows that the procedures borrowing and adaptation, from Vinay and Darbelnet's model, are the most common ways of translating culture-specific phenomena in this study.
