Summary: | 碩士 === 南臺科技大學 === 企業管理系 === 107 === In order to reduce the pressure of baby caring for employees, it is shown in the Act of Gender Equality in Employment that employees can apply for parental leave without pay up to two years. However, the statistic shows that since 2002, the year the Act enforced, it is almost female that apply for the parental leave without pay. The proportion seems always 8:2, which means the implementation of gender equality is not reliable, the precious female labor force is a waste, and the talented people are plowed under. Therefore, this study is to understand the reason affect male employee applying for a parental leave without pay.
Project behavior theory is the main structure of the research method. It is to discuss the behavioral attitudes, social norms, family care factors, and economic support factors of male labors toward the parental leave without pay in Tainan City. After the questionnaire recycling, narrative statistics, correlation analysis, independent sample, single-factor variance analysis, and regression analysis are used to analysis the intention of male applying for the parental leave without pay. The finding of the research is that there are significant influences in behavioral attitudes, social norms, and family care factors, but no significant influences in economic support factors. In addition, the different age, the year of working, and the personal average income show the significant influences toward the intention.
