The purpose of the study is to demonstrate that social skill courses provided from resource class teachers can help autism students with interpersonal interaction difficulties who studies in general classes to improve effectively by discussing within inclusive education. Also, the thesis discuss further about the challenges teachers are facing and related supports they would need when teaching social skill courses. Hoping to provide adequate resources for students studying in inclusive education to learn and grow happily.
Therefore, the paper would be taking the autism students of the resource class from a public junior high school in Taoyuan city as model. Researcher act as a teacher of the resource class, taking observation notes for social skill classes for two semesters and doing semi-structured interviews with five teachers from the resource class, the mentor and two related specialists.
Lastly, analyze and conclude the data to understand improvements of autism students after receiving social skill classes intervention based on Social-Learning Theory, given by teachers of the resource class and the supports teachers need in classes for different types of autism students.
Besides from discussing and analyzing literatures and the results of the study of the autism students in resource class, the thesis also proposes several adzhanvices for counselling autism students with interpersonal interaction difficulties by social skill courses and further research suggestions for reference.
