A case on Sprightful Solar, a solar systems installation start-up, will be used to get a more real-world example. Start-ups and social media are defined to enable a better understanding of the case. Social media platforms will be examined and compared through findings in literature and the web. The purpose was to give a better understanding of how start-ups can benefit through the use of marketing on social media platforms. Interviews were conducted with top level executives of Sprightful Solar to gain more knowledge on the subject as well as to investigate how a start-up uses social media as a marketing tool and how it impacts the company. With the use and help of literature reviews, the case on Sprightful Solar, and the interviews conducted, a better understanding of how a social media marketing campaigns affect start-ups was gained and a conclusion is made.
