Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 教育行政與評鑑研究所教育行政碩士學位在職專班 === 106 === The main purpose of this study is to investigate the participation and implementation status of the SMARTER Reading Cross-School Teacher Professional Learning Community, as well as its effectiveness towards teachers’ professional ability and knowledge, the results of teachers’ teaching and students’ learning, the difficulties faced and solutions used in the process of the implementation. Qualitative method is used in this study by interviewing 6 community members, including 4 teachers of open lecture courses and 2 school principals. The findings of this study are as follows: 1. The motives of members participating in the cross-school community includes accelerating one’s teaching profession, increasing the results of student’s learning outcomes and grasping the ability to apply technology in teaching etc. 2. Planned activities of the cross-school community includes consensus conferences, advanced training courses, teaching seminars and open lecture courses. 3. Participating in the cross-school community can promote teachers' teaching expertise and pedagogical skills of their SMARTER reading professional development. 4. Participating in the cross-school community can boost teachers’ ability in planning their teaching materials and teaching strategies effectively. 5. Participating in the cross-school community can help build a highly interactive environment, accelerating students’ abilities in teamwork, participation and learning performance in class. 6. The difficulties for implementing the cross-school community includes the holding of open lecture courses, and its promoting in schools. The dilemma might be overcome with the support of peers in elevating teachers’ pressure resistance.
