The subjects to whom the questionnaires are issued cover those traders of the related industry of 20 age or more. This study adopts the quantitative method by way of issuing the formal questionnaires of which 100 valid copies are recovered at the 100% rate of validity. Moreover the SPSS 20 statistic packaged software is used to conduct the data analysis and the authentication of the study hypotheses. The obtained results of this study include: (1) the dealers’ knowledge of the food safety is sufficient by themselves (p<0.05); (2) the dealers consider the outbreak of the food safety scandal is attributed to the mistake of the illegal manufacturers (p<0.05); (3) the dealers esteem the food/health care food produced and sold by the manufactures of big brands are more guaranteed (p <0.05); (4) the dealers will be doubtful of the relevant packaging, marked expiry date and the trueness of the ingredients of any health care food (p<0.005); (5) the dealers would not purchase the health care food at the places other than the pharmacies (p<0.05); (6) the dealers would take the first priority to purchase those commodities which are labeled with the certification mark by the government or the accreditation authority (p<0.05); (7) the dealers will not purchase the specified health care food due to the star’s endorsement (p<0.05); (8) the dealers’ intention to purchase the health care food is reduced after the eruption of the food safety events (p<0.05); (9) the dealers would not purchase those products of brands which they have never heard of (p<0.05); (10) the dealers would not over-boycott or listen to the wrong knowledge (p<0.05); (11) the dealers are aware that those food labels and the advertisement wording cannot exaggerate the medical effects (p<0.05); (12) the dealers have an idea of the health care efficacy and composition of their own products; (13) the consumers’ consumption power for the health care food is lowered after the burst of the food safety scandal. To conclude the foregoing study results, we find most of the dealers in Taiwan are lacking in the awareness of the food safety issues as well as the food safety and health regulations implemented by the government. This thesis not only expressly discloses the food safety issues, currently confronted in the market, but effectively brings forward the suggestive methods as to how to tackle the food safety issues.
