One hundred and twenty-nine preschoolers’ overt and relational subtypes of aggression were measured by peer nominations (Preschool Peer Nomination Measure – Peer Form, PSBS-P) and teacher ratings (Preschool Social Behavior Scale – Teacher Form, PSBS-T). Peer nominations of acceptance and rejection (like and dislike nominations) were also collected in order to form the social status groups (popular, average, rejected, neglected, and controversial). Results showed that (a)there were no significant differences in overt and relational aggression measured by peer nominations and teacher ratings between younger and older preschoolers, (b)boys’ overt aggression measured by teacher ratings was higher than girls’, but there were no other significant differences in aggression between boys and girls, (c)there were no significant differences in teacher reports’ overt and relational aggression among various social status groups, and (d)there were significant differences in peer reports’ overt and relational aggression among various social status groups.
