Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 教師專業碩士學位學程 === 105 === The purpose of this study aimed to use Quick Response Code in curriculum design of music appreciation instruction for fourth general music classes. The curriculum design contained the teaching objectives, self-compiled teaching materials, teaching strategies, teaching activity design and assessment. In order to know the students’ recognition of music themes and instrumental timbre, the quantitative and qualitative instruments were be used in this study. The quantitative instruments were two formative assessments and one summative evaluation. The qualitative instruments were students’ online feedbacks, worksheets, observation records and teaching journals.
The conclusions of the study were as follows:
1. Learning objectives should be specific and contained both subjects, including technology and music, to be beneficial to students’ learning assessments.
2. With exploratory and interactive teaching materials, it could inspire students’ creativity. With hands-on instruction, it could improve students’ learning participation effectively. As for interactive technology, it could enhance students’ learning interest as the teacher mastered student-centered instruction.
3. Applying listening, concretization, and interaction in the music appreciation activities could enhance students’ ability of music recognition and learning interest.
4. Using multimedia technology and instructional strategies of group discussion along with the music board game "Orchestra Card" could increase students’ learning motivation, interest and effectiveness.
5. Applying the Plickers, one of the interactive response system (IRS), could assist the teacher to comprehend students’ learning effectiveness.
6. Adopting storytelling and interactive media into teaching along with real instruments could improve students’ identification ability of music themes and timbre of instruments.
7. The ability of recognizing music themes by double reed instruments was the weak for the fourth grade students.
According to the major findings, the researcher made several suggestions for using QR Code in music appreciation lessons, further research, and educational institutions.
