Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士班 === 105 === The study aims to discuss the preschool educator’s professional development in classroom management through professional learning community, to investigate the difference on the preschool educator before and after participating in professional learning community, and to understand how preschool educator’s self-reflection develops by professional learning community.
This study was conducted in qualitative research, organizing, inducting and analyzing the data collected through interviews. The results are as follows :
I. Difference on routine activities before and after attending professional learning community:
i. The teachers transformation from disciplinary teaching and course on schedule to preschool adaptive curriculum.
ii. The teachers transformation from group activities to concentrating on individual needs.
iii. The teachers transformation from traditional teaching combining major and minor teaching to collaborative teaching.
II. Planning and implementation on learning areas before and after attending professional learning community:
i. Transformation from unit-structured programs to exploration of learning areas.
ii. Transformation from textbooks to nature materials.
iii. Transformation from safety concerns to respecting individual preference.
III. Impact on professional development of self-reflection for teachers in Joy Class after attending professional learning community:
i. The teachers have pleasure in learning and being brave to change.
ii. The teachers have learning by tutoring, which is a lifelong benefit.
iii. The teachers have respect and tolerance and creating a win-win situation.
According to the results shown above, suggestions for professional learning community patterns, teachers, and further researches are provided.
