Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 教育學系研究所 === 105 === This study focused on the effects of applying mind mapping to Art Evaluation Lectures.The learning and changing process of students will be observed by teaching students to use mind map as a learning tool, to find keywords in Art Evaluation Lectures, and to inspire studennts’ divergent thinking. Hope to combine the ability of art appreciation with daily life.
The study involves a class of thirty-two 8th graders from the junior high school the researcher works in.The curriculum consists of 3 units lasting for 4months. In this action research, the data of researching process was collected and analyzed, which comprising the records of observation, teaching reflective notes, interviews, mind map and feedback of the students. Through qualitative analysis and discussion of these data, researcher explained the questions of research, the predicament of implement and the coping strategies.
The conclusion and finding are as follows:
1. Mind mapping on Art Appreciation Lectures improves students’ self-confidence and
self-actualization.
2. Mind mapping improves the concentration and participation of students during class.
3. Students have greater ability in finding keywords from picture.
4. Mind mapping improves the memory of students.
5. Mind mapping improves the creation of students, and students can draw unique mind
maps by themselves.
From this study, mind mapping apply to theArt Appreciation Lecturesnot only
helps students to find out the keywords but also improve the learning motivation and memory of students and enhance students’ confidence. Finally, reflections of the research and suggestions for future studies were brought out according to the process and the result of this study.
