The subjects of this study are 409 junior high school students stratified proportionately selected from the seventh to the ninth graders in both public junior high schools and private high schools in Chiayi City. The instruments used in this study include Family Life Attitude Scale (Junior Version), Family Life Performance Scale (Junior Version), and Family Life Feelings Scale. The collected data are analyzed by using descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, simple regression analysis and moderated regression analysis. The main findings are as follows: 1.The junior high school students’ filial performance is above the medium level; among the four factors of filial performance, the independence factor and self-control factor practice relatively higher, and the feedback and communitution factor practices lowest. 2.The junior high school students’ parent-child closeness is the medium level. 3.There are significant differences among different grades on parent-child closeness; the seventh graders’ parent-child closeness is higher than the ninth graders’. Also there are significant differences among different types of family structure on parent-child closeness; students living with their parents have higher parent-child closeness than those who live in a single-parent family. As for different family social economic status, students with high or medium-high family social economic status have higher parent-child closeness than those with low or medium-low family social economic status. 4.Junior high school students’ filial performance can predict their parent-child closeness. The higher junior high school students’ filial performance practices, the higher junior high school students’ parent-child closeness is. 5.Filial attitude has moderating effects on the relationship between filial performance and parent-child closeness of junior high school students. 6.Gender has no moderating effects on the relationship between filial performance and parent-child closeness of junior high school students. Based on the findings, some suggestions are provided for parents, the related educational institutions, the family educational practicians and future studies. 張再明 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW
