The major purpose of EIU pedagogy is to grow students’ self-esteem and comprehensive ability. In other words, we hope students can learn on one’s own, and at the same time train themselves to think critically and being able to take initiate act. Therefore, Education Travel became part of EIU since 2002 in Taiwan. Among numerous countries, Japan was regarded as the most appealing country for Education Travel. Similar to regular travels, a tour guide is required during an education travel. The role of a tour guide extends into becoming a bridge in between two cultures. This study intends to identify (1) the influences of a tour guide towards senior high school students in between Taiwanese and Japanese culture and (2) Senior high school students' reactions and comprehensive abilities when encountering cultural impact.
