The study process was based on educational imagination and was to explore the concepts and objects of media literacy education, and the characteristics of table game. The core concept of the teaching material was retrieved from CML & Dr. Wu’s five core concepts of media literacy education – media content, media representation, the audience, media organization and media access. A media educational table game “Looking for Bullhorn” was developed on the demand of “Policy White paper on Education for media literacy”, announced by Taiwan's Ministry of Education in 2002. It is to motivate learners through the role play in the game, and imagination cards with narrative story. It also enhanced learners’ ability of complexity concepts and reflexive thinking on media literacy education This study was conducted mixed methods of evaluating the Media Literacy Imagination Card and exploring the views of college students, who were taking General Education course, on new practical curriculum approach through qualitative interviews and a quantitative survey with Likert Scale. The findings offer an overview of the new pedagogic approach. First, the media literacy awareness has increased up to sixty percent. Second, participants engaged active learning under a joy and stress-free circumstance. Third, learners keep great impression on the image of Media Literacy Imagination Card. The result showed that developing integrated pedagogical approaches to imaginative play and media education in the curriculum has promoted learners to participate and master the concepts of media literacy education. By adopting action research in curriculum and accumulating experience on the practical course of “Media Literacy Imagination Card”, it will provide educators a pedagogic tool which will be implementing with imaginative play.
