Based on the target of the quadrangle learning target in the 5th graders, the researcher integrates the schoolyard situation and the operation of objects into learning activities to train the students to have the ability of iconic representation so that they can answer the questions about the area of quadrangle. Here, the researcher collects data from teaching materials, learning diaries, interviews, front-tests and behind-tests. The results are: “1. Students’ learning motive and attention in the classroom can be improved by a familiar learning environment. 2.
