Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 數理教育研究所 === 104 === The purpose of this research is to probe into the misconceptions and the results of effective learning in the area of quadrangle from two students in this remedial instruction. Based on the target of the quadrangle learning target in the 5th graders, the researcher integrates the schoolyard situation and the operation of objects into learning activities to train the students to have the ability of iconic representation so that they can answer the questions about the area of quadrangle. Here, the researcher collects data from teaching materials, learning diaries, interviews, front-tests and behind-tests. The results are: “1. Students’ learning motive and attention in the classroom can be improved by a familiar learning environment. 2. Students can learn more of abstract conceptions of area of quadrangle by the operation and observation of the objects.”
