It’s getting more and more rigorous challenge for teachers is what are students need to learn, what they want, and how to motivate them to learn more. The research standing on person-person fit perspectives to explore the relationship between teachers and students. The study proposed that mis-fit of teacher’s ideal and actual image from the view of students on the students’ learning attitudes and the quality of student interaction with their teacher.
The study used questionnaires survey to test the model. The data collection is from a department of food and beverage management of a private vocational high school in Taipei. The final valid samples are 360. The study result revealed that the degree of mis-fit of teacher’s ideal and actual image is significant negative related to students’ learning satisfaction. Moreover, the degree of mis-fit of teacher’s ideal and actual image is significant negative related to the quality of interaction between teacher and students. Further, the quality of interaction between teacher and students is positive related to students’ learning satisfaction. Finally, the quality of interaction between teacher and students has mediated to the relationship between the degree of mis-fit of teacher’s ideal and actual image and students’ learning satisfaction.
