Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 身心障礙者轉銜及休閒教育研究所 === 103 === During the past few years, much attention has been paid to the concept of participation. Several studies indicated that participation is an important aspect for students with intellectual disability (ID). However, there was lacking of the survey instrument of participation in Taiwan. Liao Hua-Fang and her team developed the Part II of Functioning Scale of the Disability Evaluation System-Child Version (FUNDES-Child) which adopted from Child and Family Follow-up Survey to measure the concept of participation. Therefore, this study investigated reliability and validity of FUNDES-Child Part II in junior high school students with ID.
This study included 30junior high school students with ID and used the FUNDES-Child to interview with students’ parents and teachers. We examined test-retest reliability, internal consistency, inter-rater reliability, construct validity and known group validity.
The results showed that FUNDES-Child Part II had good test-retest reliability (Intraclass Correlation Coefficient, ICC>0.75), internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha>0.8), and inter-rater reliability (ICC>0.5). The results also provided evidence for construct validity (r>0.7) and known group validity (IQ69-55 &; IQ54-40<IQ≦24; p<0.05).
The FUNDES-Child Part II is an appropriate tool to measure participation in junior high school students with ID. The establishment of reliability and validity of FUNDES-Child Part II will have implications for professionals in evaluating daily participation of junior high school students with ID and providing appropriate services.
