Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 科學教育研究所 === 103 === The study aims to discuss the effects of applying a 5E-WISE (Web-based Inquiry Science Environment) evolution module on seventh graders’ cognitive learning outcomes and motivation. Participants were seventh graders divided into two groups. The experimental group(n = 29) received the individual-learning instruction method, and the control group(n =30) received the teacher-guiding instruction method. Both groups administered the evolution achievement test and Students’ Motivation towards Science Learning (SMTSL) questionnaire before and after the instruction. Students’ learning process was recorded by WISE to discuss the effects of applying a 5E-WISE evolution module.
The results showed that (a) applying a 5E-WISE evolution module could enhance students’ cognitive learning outcomes, (b) low achievement students’ cognitive learning outcomes in the teacher-guiding instruction group has significant higher scores than in the individual-learning instruction group, (c) applying a 5E-WISE evolution module could enhance students’ motivation, (d) there were significant correlation between students’ learning process scores and cognitive learning outcomes.
