Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 教育與學習科技學系課程與教學碩士在職專班 === 103 === This study was designed to investigate the strategic incorporation of e-textbook APP into educating second graders mathematics multiplication and its effectiveness in teaching the second graders multiplication, as well as its influence on attitudes toward learning mathematics. This study also explored the experimental student group’s satisfaction on the digital learning environment, so that it can be a reference for instructors when conducting mathematics teaching activities in the future. This study used a quasi-experimental method. The research was implemented on second graders from four classes in a New Taipei City elementary school, totaling 80 students. Two classes were selected as the experimental group, with e-textbook APP strategically incorporated into educating second graders multiplication; the other two classes were the control group, with traditional teaching method applied. Teaching activities lasted for three weeks, each proceeded with nine lessons on multiplication. The study is based on quantitative data, supplemented by qualitative data analysis. At the end of the whole experiment period, the collected data was analyzed quantitatively to examine the two student groups’ achievement in learning multiplication, their change in attitude toward learning mathematics, and their level of satisfaction with digital learning environment. Through student interviews and teachers’ instruction transcripts, the changes in learning and teaching status were recorded respectively from students’ point of view and teachers’ position, which can serve as the basis for improvement and suggestion on experimental education . Based on the above data analysis, the research findings are described as below: 1. The strategic incorporation of e-textbook APP into teaching second graders multiplication can significantly increase their achievement in learning multiplication, especially for the mid-tier students. 2. The strategic incorporation of e-textbook APP into teaching second graders multiplication can significantly and positively change their attitude toward learning mathematics, especially for the lower-tier students. 3. Students' satisfaction toward digital learning environment is mostly positive, assertive, and affirmative. 4. For the experimental group’s boys and girls, the results are similar in their achievement in learning multiplication and their attitude toward learning mathematics.
