This study adopted qualitative study method, and the subjects were 32 7 graders in an average class, implemented modeling teaching activities of the three different characteristics. The data collected for the study were class observations and interviews. The data included mathematics classroom video recording, students’ working sheet and poster in modeling activities. The data were analyzed in a qualitative way. The results showed that:First, different characteristics of modeling activities, students’ modeling processes cycle will be different. Second, the 7 grade students using the way of arguments in modeling activites is " hasty generalization ", " using available information "and " quoted from their learnt " , the most used method for sutdents is " using available information "among the way of arguments. Third, the relationship between modeling performance and mathematical arguments of 7 grade students:(一)The " Simplifying/Structuringn "to" Validating "in mathematical modeling processes is student may experienced when they carry out mathematical argument. And " Mathematising ", " Working mathematically " and " Interpreting " of modling process are students experienced most for many times.(二)In modeling teaching activities, studints only to reach " Interpreting " stage and the resule of modling doesn’t conform to the requirements of task or can’t solve the problem of task when they used " quoted from their learnt "and " hasty generalization " the way of arguments.(三)When studens used " using available information " that the way of arguments and their modling processes stage had to reach " Validating " , their modeling performance better and the model that they made can solve the problem of task.
