Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 工業教育與技術學系 === 103 === This study aimed to explore the relationships between the learning motivation and learning difficulty of students from the Department of Fashion Apparel of a vocational high school and their learning achievement in the sewing practice course. Secondly, this study analyzed and compared the differences in learning motivation and learning difficulty among students from the Department of Fashion Apparel of a vocational high school of different backgrounds. In addition, this study also discussed the relationships among the learning motivation, learning difficulty, and learning achievement of students from the Department of Fashion Apparel of a vocational high school in the sewing practice course.
This study adopted the questionnaire survey method, with the research subjects being the second and third grade students from the Department of Fashion Apparel (Department of Apparel) of 6 vocational high schools in north, central and south Taiwan during the second semester of the academic year 2012/2013. The descriptive statistics used for data analyses included: frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations. The inferential statistical methods applied included ANOVA, Scheffé posterior comparison, posterior comparison, and Pearson product-moment correlation. The analysis results of this study are summarized below:
1. In Taiwan, the current statuses of the students from the Department of Fashion Apparel in the sewing practice course: general and rather high overall learning motivation; general learning difficulty, and general and rather high learning achievement (practice marks of the second semester of the academic year 2012/2013).
2. In the aspect of the learning motivation of the students from the Department of Fashion Apparel in the sewing practice course in Taiwan, the background variables with a significant influence included: gender, academic achievement, parent’s occupation, school location, and school type.
3. In the aspect of the learning difficulty of the students from the Department of Fashion Apparel in the sewing practice course in Taiwan, the background variables with a significant influence included: gender, academic achievement, parent’s occupation, parent’s educational background, school location, and school type.
4. In the aspect of the associations among the learning motivation, learning difficulty, and learning achievement of the students from the Department of Fashion Apparel in the sewing practice course in Taiwan: the overall learning motivation was negatively related to the overall learning difficulty, the overall learning motivation was positively related to the overall learning achievement, and the overall learning difficulty was negatively related to the overall learning achievement.
