The main findings were as follows: 1.Most elementary school teachers with administrative duties in Kaohsiung City reported an intermediate level of job stress. 2.Most teachers showed a high degree of use of coping strategies for job stress. 3.Perception of job stress varied significantly by age, duration of administrative service, administrative position, and school size. 4.The respondents’ stress coping strategies differed significantly by duration of administrative service. 5.The relationship between “overall job stress” and “overall coping strategies” was positively related to the level of significance.
