Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 語文與創作學系語文教學碩士班 === 102 === This study aimed to develop a picture-book small group guidance program for intermediate grade students with emotional disturbance, to explore the influence of the program on the students’ emotional intelligence, the difficulties encountered in the implementation of the program, the possible solutions and to improve self-development. In order to accomplish these purposes, the subjects in this study were a group of six elementary school intermediate grade students with emotional disturbance in Taipei City. The researcher applied picture books with emotion themes in the small group guidance for fifteen weeks, analyzed the emotional intelligence scale designed by the researcher and the data. The findings were as follows: 1. The picture-book small group guidance program had positive effects on the intermediate grade students with emotional disturbance. 2. The picture books were highly accepted and beloved by most of the members . 3. The students displayed more positive changes in practical application of emotional intelligence than cognition. Based on the conclusions, some suggestions were given to elementary school teachers and further researches.
