Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 數學暨資訊教育學系(含數學教育碩士班) === 102 === In this study, the researcher compiled the constructed response items of time concept to understand the concept of time of the elementary school students. The subjects were a total of 132 schoolchildren from a class of each grade, from first grade to sixth grade in a elementary school in Datong Taipei, in 76 school. By grade level test, then marking, reviewing, and classifying, student achievement was divided into 3 groups according to their grades: 27% high-grade, 46% intermediate-grade, and 27% low-grade groups. Then interviewed one person selected from each group. Comprehensive analysis was performed after the data was collected to investigate the performance and error type of elementary students’ problem solving on constructed response items of time concept.
The results showed that elementary students’ problem solving on constructed response items differs, according to the characteristics of each different concept of time. The researcher organized and summarized the results of the tests found: only a few low-grade students could achieve the goal of the concept on view of the scale; most of the third grade students could achieve the goal of the concept on the establishment of the amount of sense; only part of the grade 3-6 students could achieve the goal of the concept on calculation and application of time.
By summarizing error performance of students, the results showed: students had 8 error types in the concept on view of the scale; 1 error type in the concept on the establishment of the amount of sense; 8 error types in the concept on calculation and application of time.
