Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 幼兒教育學系早期療育碩士班 === 102 === This study was aimed to discuss an effective itinerant early childhood special education model from the perceptions of general education teachers and early childhood special education teachers in central Taiwan. By comprehending the viewpoints of both parties, it expected to develop a model meeting their demands. Therefore, to collect data for analysis, this study adopted purposive sampling, conducting in-depth interviews with eight teachers. Participants of this research were four preschool itinerant teachers and four kindergarten general education teachers working in central Taiwan. All of them have more than five years’ working experience in their fields. The study results were concluded as follows: 1. In the process of collaboration, a preschool itinerant teacher was more than someone working in special education. They played diverse roles of teaching, consultation, assistance, and communication. 2. The expertise and attitude of preschool itinerary teachers was the key to collaboration. They might adopt direct or indirect service model to assist general education teachers based on practical observations and interviews. 3. Preschool itinerant teachers provided not only partnership but professional help. In conflicts, it was necessary for preschool itinerant teachers to transform their roles actively. Therefore, the collaboration model of both parties would evolve from independent operation to the cooperation involving preschool itinerant teachers’ role transformation. 4.Preschool itinerant teachers believed that preschool general education teachers expect them to provide direct services more than indirect ones. Meanwhile, preschool general education teachers suggested that the collaboration could be mutually beneficial as long as preschool itinerant teachers proposed effective strategies, directly or indirectly. 5. The itinerant collaboration model which met the demands of both parties did not come in the model of direct or indirect service solely. Although there was a gap between the two parties concerning the optimum model, both of them placed emphasis on improving the situations of special children, enhancing their abilities, and being useful to preschool general education teachers in teaching. This study then proposed suggestions to preschool itinerant teachers, preschool general education teachers, educational administrations, and future studies based on its study results.
