Summary: | 碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 觀光事業學系碩士在職專班 === 102 === This study uses the important-performance anaylysis (IPA) and Kano''s model to explore the quality issue in hospitality and tourism programmes in Taiwan and South Korea. The result reveals that quality of teaching in Taiwan that was perceived as most important was as follow: "Teachers will keep giving students feedback and encouragement." The results also reveal that quality of teaching in South Korea that were perceived as most important were as follows:"Teachers will use diverse method of teaching to improve students'' ability of judgemental thinking.", "Teachers have teaching experience and industrial experience then students could learn much more knowledge.", "For the difficulty of teaching lecture content, students have the appropriate response-modality." and "Teachers with the right attitude to respond to students'' questions." Based on the findings shared here, this study makes some recommendations for enhancing service quality in hospitality and tourism higher education in Taiwan and South Korea.
