The Posttest-only control group design is used in this study. And the students of the fourth graders from an elementary school in Taichung City are chosen for experiment. By dividing samples into three groups, and there are 15 student in a group, teaching one group by screen text, teaching another group by audio and screen text, and teach the other group by paper text through six times repeated experiment. And the "Multidimensionality Attention Quiz" published by psychology publisher, the “Reading Comprehension Articles and Exam Samples” published by Ministry of Education and "The record sheets for attention observation" are the tools. The ANCOVA analysis, Post Multiple Comparisons and Relevance Analysis is used for all the data. After this study, there are the following conclusions:1.There are no evident effects on different media types of text for the students’ performance on reading comprehension.2.There are no evident effects on different media types of text for the students’ performance on PIRLS’s four parts reading comprehension.3.The students’ attention themselves is relevant with the students’ performance on reading comprehension.4.The students’ attention in classes is relevant with the students’ performance on reading comprehension.5.The students distract easily when they use computers to read.
