The study method is Quasi - experimental designs and the study subjects were 81 students from four classes of 4th grade elementary school in Daliao area Kaohsiung City for 16 sessions within 8 weeks. Experimental group conducted strategy of creative teaching on recorder learning while control group conducted regular recorder learning. After learning sessions, the evaluation tools included recorder learning result, soprano solo skill scoring card, interest for recorder learning evaluation, plus, the analysis of Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient and t-test data analysis. And the study found: After applying the strategy of creative teaching, there is difference of learning effectiveness in category of cognition between experimental group and control group. And the result of experimental group is obviously better than the control group. As for the category of skill, in comparison of these two groups, experimental group is better than control group at five categories in posture, finger control, tongue control, breath control and the rhythm. And the difference was significant. As for the category of emotion, there was not major difference in learning interest of these two groups and both of their average grades in learning interest were high but experimental group is higher than the control group. Through this study we found that the strategy of applying creative teaching at elementary recorder learning activities design demonstrated effective and upgraded learning results in the categories of cognition, skill and emotion if the curriculum is creative, diversified and vivid which should be apart from conventional practice of repeat mode.
