Since professional commitment has three distinct components: affective, continuance, and normative. Thus this study investigated how burnout impacts the three components of professional commitment. The spillover theory was used to develop hypotheses. The responses from 579 service providers were used for regression analyses. Analytical results indicated that burnout is negatively related to affective and normative professional commitment, but positively related to continuance professional commitment. Among the components, affective professional commitment has the strongest relation with burnout. Implications were provided for future research. C. I. Teng 鄧景宜 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 47
