Description
Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 醫務管理學系 === 102 === The impact of burnout on organizational commitment has been widely observed, while the impact of burnout on professional commitment has rarely been investigated. Since professional commitment has three distinct components: affective, continuance, and normative. Thus this study investigated how burnout impacts the three components of professional commitment. The spillover theory was used to develop hypotheses. The responses from 579 service providers were used for regression analyses. Analytical results indicated that burnout is negatively related to affective and normative professional commitment, but positively related to continuance professional commitment. Among the components, affective professional commitment has the strongest relation with burnout. Implications were provided for future research.
