Employees are the most important assets in a company. The core objective of a manager is to enhance work morale and help them achieve a company’s goal. The main purpose of this research is to discuss the relationship between job rotation, organizational commitment, motivation and work morale in a traditional industry.
This research uses questionnaire survey for data collection. A total of 213 completed questionnaires were returned. Regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses in this research. The results are as followings:
1. Perceived job rotation benefit is positively related to organizational commitment.
2. Perceived job rotation benefit is positively related to work morale.
3. Organizational commitment is positively related to work morale.
4. Motivation enhances the positive influence of perceived job rotation benefit and work morale.
The contribution of this research is to integrate the theories from job rotation, organizational commitment, motivation and work morale to investigate their relationship in a traditional industry. Moreover, this research focused on the moderating effect of motivation on the relationship between perceived job rotation benefit and work morale. Finally, limitations and future directions were discussed.
