Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 藝術與人文教學研究所 === 102 === This study is in the use of action research, which focuses on integrating the teaching picture books into life education to the seventh grade students which brings them what impact of their ego identity, and design to apply the picture books teaching in practicable curriculum at the stage of junior high school, and researchers’ record on their own professional growth and reflection.
The subjects of study is a junior high school in Banqiao District of New Taipei City, New Taipei City, the implementation of the extracurricular activities is to the seventh grade students class with 29 people, to use the tailor-made material for picture books teaching as program activities, to carry them out for 45 minute as one section weekly, with ten lessons in total; the first five lessons are the stage of appreciating the picture books, the latter five lessons are the stage of producing and sharing the picture books.
The study is adopted a combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis, to quantify the part to the “before – after” comparison of the measured statistics, to analyze the ego identity of subjects whether is reduced or not, the use of measurement tools is to take the Ego Identity Scale for adolescents edited by Jiang Nan-Fa (in 1991), then collect the final data to use the paired t test for statistical analysis. Qualitative section contains: (1) the teaching journal; (2) the self-assessment of subjects; (3) the picture books assessment; (4) the classroom observation checklist; (5) teachers’ self-reflections; (6) the unit activity learning note; (7) the discussion records with observers.
The study is concluded with a total of three items: first of all, to integrate the picture books teaching into life education, which help enhance the ego identity of the seventh grade students. (A) The results of “before - after” measurements of " Ego Identity Scale" in this study, Two kinds of the ego identity of the "Time Perspective" and "Role Experimentation" meta-analysis both are significantly effective. (B) The analysis is through the "classroom observation checklist", which shows that the picture books teachings help enhance the ego identity with seven levels of the subjects. (C) The analysis results of subjects in the self-assessment and the work: 1. Subjects show highly satisfaction on the feedback notes of the extracurricular activities. 2. The three directions of the themes for the picture books are: self-growth records, self stories, tailor-made stories, that nearly 70% of the subjects choose “self-growth records”, their stories show the " to introduce themselves in different periods, " as the majority. 3. The picture books teachings not only can enhance the understanding of the picture books by subjects, but also can assist the junior high school students on the self-awareness and the effectiveness of meditation. Second, although the use of picture books teaching is commonly used at children’s stage, however, in this study, we found that picture books are used in the course of the junior high school, which increase the initiative and enthusiasm of learning for the young people, it is also applicable to the learner at this stage. Finally, the researchers are in this teaching process, they not only continuously innovate the picture books materials for teaching and adjust the teaching skills, but also enhance the growth of the individual soul.
According to the discovery of this study results, we provide this for the relevant department personnel who concerns in education and academic research as a reference.
