In the pilot study, we focus on modifying the test items and teaching design. Afterwards, the revised test items and teaching design were implemented in the formal study. The formal study adopted quasi-experimental method that was nonequivalent pretest-posttest design for two different teaching methods. The instruments is nanotechnology concepts questionnaire, implement by pretest, posttest and retention test. The statistical methods included paired-samples t-test and one-way ANCOVA. The major findings of this study were: (1) after teaching, the correct ratio of two groups can promote 30% up; (2) two groups students had significantly improve on the nanotechnology concepts and the performance of the two groups was no significantly difference; (3) in retention test, the performance of the group of ‘science games fused teaching’ better than the group of ‘Ausubel expository teaching’. Finally, this study proposes several suggestions on the teaching designs and implementation of nanotechnology teaching as well as some directions for future research.
