This paper intends to explore the factors affecting the job stress of staff after privatization of Chunghwa Telecom for 7 years, and suggests the methods of stress management. Taking the staff working at different business group and branch of Chunghwa Telecom as research targets, this paper uses survey method to carry out the research. There were 675 effective questionnaires received. Besides, this paper uses a statistic software package, PASW statistics 18, employs different statistical analysis methods, such as descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation, hierarchical regression, linear regression, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and post hoc/multiple comparison, and achieves the following research findings: 1.Role conflict and workload both create positive influence on job stress. 2.Complete protection of individuals’ rights and benefits has decreased moderating effect towards workload and job stress. 3.Regarding the sources that lead to stress, staff have the highest identification towards the protection of individuals’ rights and benefits. 4.Among the staff’s feelings of and reactions to job stress, their psychological reaction is greater, and their behavioral reaction is smaller. 5.In the aspect of identification with the source of stress, duties have significant difference towards workload. Comparing to the associate, basic-level supervisors agree more that workload is the source of stress. 6.In the aspect of staff reactions to job stress, there are significant difference among age, seniority, duties and work category. And the staff at the age of 31~40, working at business category, and acting as basic-level supervisors have greatest job stress. According to the research findings, this paper proposes to conduct some employee assistance programs that can better meet the enterprise and staff’s needs of stress management, in order to establish preventive, consultation and counseling mechanisms, and eliminate the physical and mental problems of staff caused by job stress.   Dr.Kuo-Chong Chang 張國忠博士 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 92
