Twenty four archers from senior high school were divided into Swiss ball training group (SB group, n=12), and control group (C group, n=12) by 70 m’s score with matched-pair. All subjects sustained the regular archery training programs during the experimental period (four hours specific training for six days per week; two hours resistance and physical training twice per weeks). The subjects of SB group had additional training schedules with Swiss ball 3 times per week for 6 week (nine movements for three sets). The strength of bench press, lat pull-down, knees extension and knees flexion, numbers of sit-up and back-extension within 1 minute, the radius and velocity of center of pressure (COP), the 70 m’s score as well as the continued time of drawing of the subjects were tested before, during, and after the experiment. Data was analyzed by two-way mixed design ANOVA. Results: There were no differences siqnificant between groups for all variables in pre-test. In mid- and post-test, the numbers of 1 minute back-extension in the SB group was significantly higher than the C group (56.7±7.0 vs. 49.0±5.0、62.5±6.8 vs. 53.1±7.4 times; p<.05). In the post-test, the numbers of 1 minute sit-up in the SB group was significantly higher than the C group (62.9±4.1 vs. 55.8±6.1times; p<.05). There was significant difference in COP radius between SB and C group (1.7±0.3 vs. 3.2±1.0 mm; p<.05). The strengths of upper- and lower-limb as well as continued time of drawing in both SB and C groups were significant difference in mid- and post-test, but there were no significant differences between groups. The continued time of drawing of both groups measured in the mid-test, as well as the 70 m’s score of both groups measured in the post-test, were significantly better than those measured in the pre-test. Nevertheless, there was no significant difference between groups in velocity of COP. In conclusion, three times per week Swiss ball training (9 movements for 3 sets) for 6 weeks effectively improved the muscle endurance of abdominal and dorsal, as well as the radius of COP of archers. However, the training can not improve the muscle strength and continued time of drawing of archers. Kuei-Hui Chan 詹貴惠 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 56 zh-TW
