The action research method is adopted and students of a certain 8th grade class in a certain junior high school in a certain district of Taipei City are the research targets. The emotional intelligence and reflective ability measurement scale is used to conduct the pre-test and post-test is conducted after the implementation of the nine week course to understand the condition of improvement on the emotional intelligence and reflective ability of students. In addition, according to the documentary analysis, the research results and findings are summarized and analyzed and the following conclusions are obtained: (1)The performing arts course design of the dance therapy concept can enhance the emotional intelligence of students. The emotional awareness ability of students is most excellent that they can become aware of the emotion of oneself and others through body, expression and language and can provide suitable care. (2)The performing arts course design of dance therapy can boost the reflective ability of students. In order to complete the home works given by teachers or examinations, students will listen carefully to the explanation of teachers and will conduct continue thinking on the contents and their understanding ability is the best. (3)Through this research to understand the course design of the dance therapy concept and by making use of dancing movement of body action, the memory of photos and painting of the future goal and the self development course contents, these can enhance the emotional intelligence and reflective ability of students. In the quantitative information result and the qualitative information analysis, the course design of the dance therapy concept can be applied in the performing arts course of junior high school. At the end of the essay, a few suggestions are presented to serve as a reference for school administration, teachers, educational competent authority, scholars and subsequent research.
