Through case studies, it was applied to propose relevant recommendations of the female elementary school principals' professional development. After considering relevant literatures, semi-structured interviews were utilized to collect three elementary school female principals opinions about professional development related issues, including the way of female principals professional development activities, the demand dimension as well as under the dual pressures of family and work, how to enhance the opportunity of creating their own growth, to create more professional development space, to adapt the experience and feelings while facing difficulties. The qualitative research method was used to show female principals career planning, which makes access people to have a better understanding of the professional development of female principals. The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1.that they can apply their female role into the administration and operation matters of school, the delicate and thoughtful features. Female principals are generally able to integrate theory and practical situation together into decisions of school affairs. They examine their leadership through administration and questionnaire; they apply working and guiding leadership in teaching and in curriculum leadership, they applied awakening and cognitive value leadership, in public relationship, they stay in participation and both to benefit leadership and in crisis management, statutory and team leadership are mixed. 2.The difficulties of female principal in professional development are mostly existed in individuals and family. They compromise family peace and career planning from time to time. On the job and in human relation, then tend to integrate firm heart with soft approach and high level requirement. 3.Female principal emphasizes very much in professional development and they set acquiring “Professional Development Credential of Principal” and “Passing Appraisal of Principal” as their demand on themselves. Based on the findings, several suggestions were proposed for educational administration, elementary school education staffs and future research.
