The case study had adopted semi-structured interview for data collection covering the six months. The findings of the study were summarized as follows: 1. Causes of teacher-student conflict It was found that there were five causes of teacher-student conflict . In the respect of teachers, the causes were “emotional disorder,” “stress on grades,” “insufficient majesty,” and “management strategies that were not acceptable to student," In the respect of student, the causes were “disobedience to teacher’s discipline,” “keenness on face saving, strong sense of self-respect,” “no willingness to learn and interference with class order,” “forming groups of gangs against teacher,” “fondness for being a leader to go against teacher” and “presumption of teacher’s injustice”;In the respect of teacher-student interaction, the causes were “discrepancy between teacher’s and student’s cognition; in the respect of parents, the causes were “inappropriate nurturing attitude and behavior,” “parents deemed as children’s backup”; In the respect of social environment, the causes were “malfunction of families” and “bias values.” 2. Teachers’ coping strategies for teacher-student conflict It was found that teachers’ coping strategies for teacher-student conflict included “adherence to philosophy and practice,” “procrastinated processing,” “negligence and unconcern,” “assistance from the third party,” “giving up educating kids,” “truth clarification,” “contingency” and “compromise.” 3. Suggestions It was suggested that the administrative system could hold study about coping strategies for teacher-student conflict ,teachers professional community could focus on issues of teacher emotional management, communication skills and class management. Further, parent-teacher association and meetings can be held. Class mailbox can be set up.
