This study aims to explore the relationship between dancing participation effect, working pressure and Emotional Intelligence Quotient (EQ). The subjects included 530 female participants in various dancing clubs, dancing schools and classrooms in Kaohsiung. The 514 valid questionnaires contributed 96.9% of return rate which was analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and stepwise multi regression and the following is the conclusion:
1. In terms of dancing participation effect, females with
different background and behavior present significant
difference, in which those who spend $1999 or below
indicate the highest cognition.
2. In terms of working pressure, there are significant
differences. Those subjects who are 51 or over and singles show the highest cognition.
3. With respect to EQ, there are also significant differences. Those who are 51 or
over, singles, engaging in business field with monthly expense of 2500-2999
and spend 45 minutes of commuter time show the highest cognition.
4. Dancing participation is significant for working pressure. Personal benefit and
social benefit have positive significance on self tolerance and workload in
terms of working pressure.
5. Dancing participation impacts EQ. Personal benefit and social benefit both are
positively correlated with “self awareness”, “social relationship
management”, “self emotion management”, and “empathy”
6. Working pressure affects EQ significantly. Self tolerance are positively
correlated with self emotion management. In addition, workload has positive
significance on“self emotion management”, and “empathy.”
7. Dancing participation has significant interference with working pressure and
EQ,social effect from dancing participation has positive interference on self
emotion management and self tolerance.
