Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 特殊教育學系研究所 === 100 === The purpose of this study was to test the effect of phonics and multi-media instruction on English vocabulary learning by vocational high school students in resource classroom. This study was the aim to assess the learning ability in English, which is examied by single-subject experimental framework of multiple-baseline designs to discuss the effect in English vocabulary learning, recognition and spelling. Base upon the results of this study, the further discussion was addressed and suggested for teaching as well as future studies were proposed. The major findings as following:
1. It was a significant effect for English listening instruction which had immediate effectiveness of learning and retention by the method of phonics and multi-media instruction .
2. It was a significant effect for English recognize instruction which had immediate effectiveness of learning and retention by the method of phonics and multi-media instruction .
3. It was a significant effect for English spelling instruction that which had immediate effectiveness of learning and retention by the method of phonics and multi-media instruction .
4. It was a significant effect for English instruction that which had immediate effectiveness of learning and retention by the method of phonics and multi-media instruction .
