The duty of the police officers includes execute government’s policies and solve public‘s problems. The study wants to find out the attitude of police officers towards organizational changes which may affect the working efficiency afterwards and whether the changes will increase job loading and stress for all the police officers. So job stress plays as mediator the study tries to discuss the relationship between organizational changes and organizational commitment. The study surveys police officers in 16 station houses in New Taipei Cites by using questionnaire. The valid receiving questionnaires are 457, and the valid receiving rate is about 85.7%. The study undertakes descriptive statistics analysis, analysis of reliability and validity, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation and stepwise regression to conclude the following results: 1. The degree of cognition of organizational change, job stress and organizational commitment of police officers in New Taipei City are above the average; 2. Police officers with different age and marriage status have some difference on cognition of organizational change; 3. The variety of background of police officers have no significant effect on job stress; 4. The age and marriage status factors have significant effect on organizational commitment; 5. After the reorganization of New Taipei City, the cognition of organizational change of police officers has significant effect on job stress; 6. After the reorganization of New Taipei City, the job stress of police officers has no significant effect on organizational commitment; 7. After the reorganization of New Taipei City, the cognition of organizational change of police officer has significant effect on organizational commitment. The results can be taken by government and police organization as reference.
