The present study aims to disclose the process that a kindergarten’s teacher becomes a music teacher of young children. The ways of data collection were classroom observations, interviews, photos, documents gathering. The researcher used content analysis to explore the professional development of music education, the feature of music teaching and the process of young children’s participation in musical activities. The findings of this study are briefly summed up as following: Based on this teacher’s enthusiasm of music and the experience of parent-child music learning, this teacher enhanced her abilities of creative musical activities design and applied this ability to her teaching. The findings of this study showed that this teacher had professional knowledge of music teaching and had the personalities of high emotional intelligence, self-reflected, progressive, and pursuit of innovation. The major finding of this study included (1) The teaching method of this teacher was based on Aesthetic and Orff; (2) The course’s content included the activities of music drama, games, fitness, dance, and music cognition; (3) In order to cultivate the children sense of music changes, rhythm and music appreciation, this teacher integrated "cognitive", "affection", and "skills" three dimensions in her teaching curricula of music. Furthermore, the multiple musical teaching activities and actively teaching attitudes of this teacher made the teacher a happy music teacher of young children. Teaching efficacy of this teacher could be observed from children attitudes of participating musical learning. Children attitudes changed from rejecting to join in musical class to having high expectation of musical class. In addition, children were free to express themselves in musical class. In this article, the researcher also provided some recommendations to educational institutions, kindergarten teachers and the direction for future research.
