The purpose of the study is aimed to understand the characteristics of learning of the disadvantaged students from a remote area through the history of action research from the tutoring teacher. To achieve this, the study will discuss three points of research questions: 1. What is the characteristics of learning of the disadvantaged students from a remote area? 2. How should the educator understand the characteristics of learning of the disadvantaged students from a remote area? 3. How should the educators use the characteristics of learning of the disadvantaged students from a remote area into the self- regulated learning teaching program? The action research is the main approach of the study. The main area of the study is an after-school class in a remote area. The participants of the study include 5 disadvantaged students of junior high and 2 tutoring teacher. The study is to gather research data through the observation and interview. The fourth chapter of this study is to present the case of the action history of the researcher assuming the tutoring teacher in this class. The action history includes the observations, understandings, actions and reflections of the researchers. And the study will conduct comprehensive discussion and analysis according to the discovery of the study. The fifth chapter will further conclude the discovery of this study. And the chapter will give conclusions to three research questions respectively based on the practical knowledge of the tutoring teacher. Then, based on the personal understanding of the researcher, the chapter will give suggestions to the educators who are serving on the first line of the disadvantaged students from the remote areas.
