Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 特殊教育學系所 === 99 === This study aimed to investigate the attitudes of general education teachers toward the inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities, and to explore whether teachers with different backgrounds differ in their attitudes. There were 393 junior high school teachers from Changhua County participating in this study. This study conducted a survey, using a self-designed questionnaire. Data were analyzed using arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one way ANOVA. There were four major findings: (1) general education teachers had positive attitudes toward the including of students with intellectual disabilities; (2) male teachers’ attitudes in term of cognition were more proactive than female teachers; (3) teachers under age 30 had more positive attitudes toward inclusion than other teachers; (4) there were no significant differences among teachers with different sexes, age groups, religions, subjects taught, and teaching experiences. Based on the findings, implications for future research and practice were discussed.
