Description
Summary:碩士 === 嶺東科技大學 === 觀光與休閒管理研究所 === 99 === MICE is one of the most popular industries nowadays. It is regarded by many countries as a secure industry that undergoes economic growth. However, a successful MICE event should depend on the planner, stakeholder, venue and many other factors. This study will explore the critical success factors (CSFs) of the MICE industry by applying the methods of literature analysis, content analysis, and by probing into the interviews of eight scholars. In the first place, this study will focus on the four dimensions of CSFs obtained from literature analysis. After that, these four dimensions will be combined with the characteristics such as Integration, Change, Forward-looking and Sustainable. The results are as follows: 1. Resource Management: convention and exhibition venues, hotels, leisure spaces, transportation, internal human management and stakeholders. 2. Convention and Exhibition Marketing: people, product, price, promotion and place. 3. On-site Management: receive management (report/register/receive service), food and beverage management, communication management, safety and security management, crisis management. 4. Image: location, brand and repute, culture and tourist attractions, climate, public security and business network. Whether by integrating individually or with each other, the industrial dimension (resource management and image) and activity dimension (convention and exhibition marketing with on-site management) should be adjusted in accordance with the development and objectives of the MICE event. Only through this adjustment, could the MICE industry succeed.
