A purposive, convenience sample and a questionnaire were used. The data was collected from a student sample (216) that had the people work experience in the hospitality industry. Reliability analysis, the Pearson Correlation values and hierarchical regression analyses were used to examine the influences of the hospitality frontline employees’ personality traits on job vigour and emotional labour strategies as a mediator. The internal consistencies of the three scales were confirmed via reliability analysis. The relationships among these three variables: the International Personality Item Pool Big-Five Factor Markers, emotional labour strategies, and job vigour were examined via the Pearson Correlation values. Hierarchical regression analyses were used to investigate the influences among the above variables. Job vigour is one of the emerging new concepts in the field of positive psychology research. The most essential personality traits that influencing job vigour is consciousness and the most eminent traits influencing job vigour were conscientiousness and neuroticism. This study did not validate the influences of positive personality traits such as extraversion and agreeableness on job vigour and they were found to be weakly connects to the hospitality frontline employees’ job vigour as well.
