This study was implemented 11 weeks of teaching on-site action research. Study participants included 30 fourth grade elementary students and two researcher’s partner. The data from video, questionnaires, and document collection are organized and the main findings are as follows, 1. The feasibility of integrating calligraphy teaching materials and literacy teaching. Students were not only interested in the course, but also understood the structure, meaning and differences between similar texts. 2. The integration of calligraphy and literacy teaching can enhance students’ literacy and writing ability. After understanding the text structure, students could grasp the essentials and have progress in writing. They were also interested in such calligraphy course. 3. The teacher’s growth after integrating calligraphy and literacy teaching. In this teaching process, there was an opportunity to improve teaching methods and attitudes. Allowing researchers to see their own growth and change in action research teaching. At last, based on the above findings, the researcher has presented some suggestions about calligraphy teaching in elementary classroom. 周全 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 197 zh-TW
